The Tradebe Community Scholarship is a prestigious $5,000 USD award that recognizes and rewards entrepreneurial talent. Our goal is to help develop future leaders who can build sustainable businesses for themselves and their communities. Tradebe Community History
The scholarship is an opportunity for members of Tradebe’s community – which includes students and alumni, employers, and recruiters – to pursue further education through a range of courses at top universities and institutions. Since its inception in 2008, it has supported hundreds of study programs and provided more than £4 million in funding. Members with at least five years’ membership will be eligible for next year’s scholarship; however, if you miss out on a place, don’t worry as there are additional opportunities to apply in 2022…
What Is the Tradebe Foundation?
The Tradebe Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Tradebe, Inc. Its mission is to help aspiring students who demonstrate a financial need and are passionate about business education. The scholarship program provides qualified applicants with up to $3,000 per year in tuition assistance for each of the three years of their undergraduate business program.
In total, that can amount to as much as $9,000 in tuition assistance over a student’s three-year course of study. Students also benefit from mentorship from Tradebe executives and other mentors—and networking opportunities through events hosted by the foundation. We are deeply committed to supporting the next generation, said Scott Carter, President and Co-Founder of Tradebe in a release announcing the creation of the foundation earlier this year.
How Can You Benefit from the Scholarship?
The Tradebe Community Scholarship is open to people from all walks of life, ages 17 and over, who are studying at a UK-based higher education institution. The tradebe community scholarship offers students financial support for their studies and gives you an opportunity to earn money for your part-time work or other activities.
You can use your earnings as pocket money or towards saving up for your next holiday or other purchases. There is also no limit on how much you can earn via our platform every month, although if your earnings reach £800 per month (per exchange) we will contact you via email with a view to managing your account more closely.
What are the Requirements?
In order to be eligible for a Tradebe Community Scholarship, you must meet these requirements. You must be either an undergraduate or graduate student enrolled in a degree program at an accredited university located in Australia, China, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Korea (South), New Zealand, or Singapore with a preference toward universities that host study abroad programs.
In addition to submitting your application by 11:59 pm EDT on December 31, 2022, you must also have at least 12 months of documented work experience related to your field of study within five years prior to applying. If accepted as a Tradebe scholar candidate and plan on attending a university outside of one of our partner countries then you will be required to provide us with proof that your school offers courses taught in English.
Important Dates and Deadlines
The Tradebe Community Scholarship will be announced on July 3, 2022, and winners will be awarded $2,500 USD. The scholarship is open to high school seniors and college students who live in countries where English is not their first language. Students must submit a 1,000-word essay answering How can your university or company help you become an active member of a global community? The deadline for submissions is December 31, 2022.

Scholarship Amount: $2,000 award (5 scholarships in total)
Eligible Recipients: High school seniors or graduates who plan to enroll and students who are already enrolled in full-time undergraduate studies at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school for the 2022-23 academic year, who are dependents* of full-time employees** of Tradebe within the United States and meet the following criteria:
- The applicant’s parent/guardian must have been employed by Tradebe for at least two (2) years prior to the start date of the scholarship.
- The applicant’s parent/guardian must be employed with Tradebe at the time of award announcement.
*Dependents mean son, daughter, stepson, stepdaughter, legally adopted child, or legal ward supported solely by the guardian.
**Full-time employees are regular-time employees who are scheduled to work more than 30 hours per week on a regular basis.
Scholarship Requirements: Students will be required to:
- Submit an essay of 500 words or less describing ONE of the following:
- Their volunteer efforts, the impact they created, and what they have learned from their volunteering
- Lessons they have learned from their part-time job or team
- How they contribute to their community
- Something they are passionate about
- Submit grades and standardized test scores
- List awards and honors they have received
