What is a Scholarship?
A scholarship is an award of financial aid for a student to further education. A scholarship is an award granted by an organization or group to help pay for the education costs of its members. Scholarships are generally awarded on academic merit and most often a nomination is required in order to apply for one. Other scholarships may be based on specific criteria such as nationality, gender, and ethnicity, area of study, or field of interest.
The $2, 000 Nitro Scholarship is a scholarship for students who want to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Business and/or Marketing. It’s awarded based on academic merit and is open to US Citizens who are attending an accredited university in their state of residence. Additionally, applicants must either be a high school senior planning to attend college full-time during their freshman year (for spring 2022).
Or currently enrolled college students with at least 24 credit hours of courses towards their degree (also for spring 2022). They must also be pursuing a degree in business and/or marketing-related areas and maintain at least a 3.0 GPA throughout their undergraduate career as well as throughout their senior year of high school prior to enrolling in college.

Scholarship Amount: $2000
Eligibility:
- Must be at least 17 years old
- Must be a legal resident of the United States
Additionally, applicants must meet one of the five following eligibility requirements.
- Be a parent who currently has a child enrolled in an accredited U.S. college or university
- Must be a student who is currently enrolled in an accredited U.S. college or university
- Be a parent who currently has a child enrolled as a high school senior at a U.S. high school
- Should be a current high school senior enrolled at a U.S. high school
- Be “a student or a parent whose child has graduated from an accredited undergraduate school and who is currently paying back a student or parent loan for his/her/child’s educational expenses for such school.”
