The summer school gives undergraduate students the opportunity to attend five exciting lectures per week on a variety of topics, including journalism, accounting, and the EU. Not only that, but it also gives you the chance to have your travel and accommodation costs covered by ACU. All you need to do to apply is submit an essay outlining why you want to attend!

What is it? The latest issue of ACU’s International Magazine includes an application form for students to apply for fully-funded study at any ACU campus throughout Australia and overseas during summer 2022. Why Study Abroad? Studying abroad offers numerous benefits that, not only build lifelong skills and friendships but can lead to rewarding careers, high job satisfaction, and higher incomes.
By increasing your cultural understanding and developing a global mindset, you will have a competitive edge when applying for jobs at home or internationally. Students who spend time overseas during their studies benefit from increased levels of confidence, maturity, and independence as well as improved communication skills due to mixing with other nationalities.
What Does The Course Cover?
The fully-funded course, provided by a range of market-leading professional institutions, will give you intensive work-based learning and real-life experience while discovering a new city. You will study modules that are specifically tailored to your future career as well as visiting and working with local employers who can provide valuable insight into what it takes to secure a job after university.
Courses cover Business Management & Strategy, Creative Industries Management, Marketing & PR, Project Management, and Entrepreneurship. If you’re enrolled at an accredited college or university, you can start applying today. If you’re not, don’t worry; we’ll keep your information on file until you’re ready to apply. And if your interests change and a different summer school trip better suits your needs? That’s okay—you can reapply whenever is right for you.
Apply today, and you’ll have until Friday, July 30th, 2022 to submit your application. However, if you’re applying for one of our England programs or our university business trip program and need extra time, we can still consider your application past that date. Simply email us at [email protected] with a copy of your transcript proving enrollment at an accredited college or university by December 15th (if possible) and let us know why you need more time. We are happy to work with you; however note that applications received after July 30th, will be considered on a case-by-case basis depending on space availability. If possible, please send emails in English as we do not translate emails into other languages as part of our normal screening process.
Who Is the Program For?
The program is open to undergraduates who have recently graduated and are interested in studying abroad and new graduate students. Scholarships will be awarded to fund tuition and living expenses while at ACU. The scholarship program is only available for students attending summer classes.
This means that you must be enrolled as a full-time student during the fall, spring, or academic year for your award to apply for these classes. Students that are already enrolled full-time do not need to reapply. Additionally, students with a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher will also receive an additional $2,000 stipend each year that they are enrolled full-time (which can be used towards tuition fees or other personal expenses).
What will I gain from this program?
You will gain from this program – Broad exposure to contemporary issues and institutions. You will be taught by expert academic staff with a wealth of experience. The program is designed to develop your analytical skills and give you an introduction to real-world solutions to contemporary problems. To participate fully, you should expect to attend each lecture/seminar, complete readings, and prepare notes for each of these events.
In addition, you will also be expected to carry out at least 1-2 hours per week of independent study. It is important that you set aside time during your overseas placement (and during any other periods of time when you are not working directly on fieldwork) for personal development and self-reflection.
What does it take to get in?
In short, it takes a compelling essay. The requirements for getting into an international program like ours are pretty straightforward. All you need to do is submit an application that includes a 500-word personal statement about what you’re looking to get out of your study abroad experience and how you think our program can help you achieve that goal.
It might seem simple but it isn’t always easy because when people study abroad. They tend to come back with amazing stories and experiences that don’t fit neatly in a 500-word box. So how does one distill all of that into an engaging essay? That’s where we come in.

Interviews will be done via Skype and you will be expected to speak English fluently throughout. There is also a test you need to pass before being accepted into Armidale.
