CJC Online Login: NSFAS encouraged all students intending to register for the second semester and trimester studies at Technical Vocational Educational and Training (TVET) Colleges and two selected universities to apply for the funding. The online application opens on 1 June and the closing date is 20 June 2016.

Having a Matric certificate does not guarantee you a chance to study at Central Johannesburg TVET College. You have to apply for admission like any other learner. Before applying for any of the courses offered at this university, you must ensure that you meet the specific requirements for the course.

Central Johannesburg TVET College have opened their online applications for 2022. Applications for new students close on 26 November while applications for returning students close on 30 December. No late applications will be considered.

Central Johannesburg TVET College (CJC) was established on 11th September 2003 when the late Minister, Prof. Kadar Asmal, launched the landscape for the then Further Education and Training (FET) sector at our Alexandra campus. The name FET was later changed to Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) by the current Minister, Dr Blade Nzimande.

The Central Johannesburgcollege

The Central Johannesburgcollege is one of 50 public TVET colleges in South Africa operating under the auspices of the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET). There are eight TVET colleges in Gauteng.

Central Johannesburgcollege has eight campuses, i.e. Ellis Park, Parktown, Alexandra, Riverlea, Langlaagte, Crown Mines, Smit Street and Troyville. The eight campuses are spread within a radius of approximately 10km from the Central Office in Parktown.

The Central Office is based in Parktown, next to the Rodean School, and offers centralized support services such as Human Resource Administration and Development, Finance, Academic Affairs and Student Support Services, etc.

Central Johannesburgcollege offers nationally accredited programmes, i.e. National Technical Education (NATED) and National Certificate (Vocational) NC(V). These programmes are quality assured by Umalusi, the Council for Quality Assurance in General and Further Education and Training, to ensure a national standard.

In addition to the above programmes, Central Johannesburgcollege also offers some skills programmes in collaboration with the relevant Sector Education and Training Authority (SETA). The programmes are accredited and quality assured by the relevant SETA Education and Training Quality Assurance (ETQA) unit.

CJC Registration Dates and Deadline – 2022

The management of the Central Johannesburg TVET College (CJC) has opened the student registration portal for fresh and continuing students to register their courses for the semester both at the diploma, undergraduate and the postgraduate level. Specific dates and deadlines have been set for the registration as well as the closure of the registration portal. It is advisable to register early inorder not to lose your studentship at CJC as late registration would not be permitted.

The registration deadline or closing date is always a registration submission timeline that is set by the institution for registering courses and modules for the semester. South African schools (Universities and colleges) usually have their submission deadline within 2 weeks to 1 month after the student registration portal is opened.

Therefore, it is expected for all CJC students (both new and old) to meet the stated registration timeline as stated below to be on the safe side.
