Angel Grove High Scholarship
Angel Grove College will begin accepting applications in 2022. The deadline to register is September 31st, 2022 at 11:59 PM Pacific Time. Applicants must be a high school junior or senior (Class of 2023) and be able to provide written proof that they are a student at Angel Grove Junior College. All application documents must be presented before September 31st, 2022 at 11:59 PM Pacific Time or else a grace period of one week will commence where all supporting documentation may still be presented for evaluation purposes. Any documents not submitted by September 31st, 2022 11:59 PM Pacific Time will result in automatic disqualification from any consideration by the Angel Grove High Board of Education.
What are the Eligibility Requirements?
To be eligible to receive a scholarship, you must meet all of these requirements: Your parents’ income can’t exceed $100,000 per year. You must attend Angel Grove High School in Anaheim Hills. You must graduate with at least a 3.0 GPA on your transcripts. Try to take four AP classes as a freshman, five as a sophomore, six as a junior and seven as a senior; each AP class can earn you one point toward your final score of 100.
What are Major Awards?: In order to earn a scholarship, you must achieve at least an 85 score on your AP exams and have taken at least eight different AP courses. These classes must be divided into four as a freshman, five as a sophomore, six as a junior, and seven as a senior. Once you’ve earned these scores and points, you will be given three different awards based on your scores. Each award has its own worth: The $50,000 award offers 5% off tuition; $75,000 offers 10% off tuition, and $100,000 offers 15% off tuition.
How Do I Submit My Application?
In order to apply, you will need to fill out an application form. And submit a 500-1000 word essay on what being an angel means to you. These applications must be received in 2022. Once all applications have been received. Our board of directors will review them and determine who will be awarded a scholarship in 2023. Please note that we accept self-declared individuals only, students that are within 5 years of high school graduation (2022), have maintained above a 3.0 GPA, and have contributed positively to their community are given preference when reviewing applications.
What if I Missed the Deadlines but Still Want to be Considered?
The Angel Grove High scholarship is now open to any student that wishes to apply. What happens after I submit my application?
Once you’ve submitted your application and paid your processing fee, you will be contacted by a representative of The Angel Grove Foundation. If you meet certain criteria, you may be invited to attend an interview. If selected to attend an interview, it will take place at The Angel Grove Foundation office (located on Angel Way). Interviews are typically conducted by representatives of The Angel Grove Foundation and Angel University officials. Most interviews last from 15 minutes to 1 hour. Upon completion of an interview, some candidates may be selected for further review. If selected for further review, applicants will be sent instructions about preparing for a full day of academic testing.
What kind of scholarships will be awarded?
The Angel Grove High School will award four scholarships to students from low-income families. The scholarship is made possible by funding from Angel Grove University. Students must be accepted into AGHS and meet all GPA requirements to apply for any of these scholarships. In addition, students who maintain a GPA of 3.5 or higher will receive additional funding from their major department at AGU.
When will I know if I’ve been awarded a scholarship?
After applying, you will be contacted if you have been awarded a scholarship to Angel Grove High School. Keep in mind that award notification may take several months. Scholarships are automatically renewed each year as long as you meet your renewal obligations set forth by AGHS and maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA; however, you are free to accept or decline any subsequent offers of renewal. There are no grades/test scores requirements but financial aid awards are not guaranteed; tuition is due on August 15th every year, unless stated otherwise by email or letter from either your parents or from Angel Grove Education Foundation.
How can I find out more about applying for this scholarship next year?
We will be releasing a more detailed timeline at a later date, but in order to apply. You’ll need to meet one of our two criteria: (1) be able to provide proof that you are from Angel Grove or, (2) be someone we think would make an amazing representative of Angel Grove. The number of scholarship recipients will depend on our funding for next year. But we do anticipate making multiple awards.
