Scholars of the Google Lime Scholarship will each receive a sponsorship award for the academic year. Allow students will also be call to attend the annual Google Scholars’ Retreat at the Googleplex in Mountain View, California, in Summer. Google Lime Scholarship

Google partners with Lime Connect, a nonprofit organization that supports students with disabilities while they pursue education and promising careers, to sponsor the Google Lime Scholarship to help university students with disabilities work toward their academic goals in the field of computer science.

Google is always looking for future leaders in the fields of computer science, computer engineering and technology, and it provides scholarships to encourage learning. A Google scholarship would grant you tuition money and access to an educational and professional community.

The Generation Google Scholarship was established to help aspiring computer scientists excel in technology and become leaders in the field. Selected students will receive 10,000 USD (for those studying in the US) or 5,000 CAD (for those studying in Canada).

Eligibility

For any student to apply for this free scholarship he or she has to be eligible. Meanwhile, the student has to follow the acceptable instruction given by the Google Lime Scholarship at Google Incorporated Company for Bachelors, Masters and PhD degree for International Student 2021.   8. Maintaining a strong academic performance
  9. A scholar with a visible or invisible disability activities that others may find to be a daily function
  10. this definition also includes the perception among others that a disability exists.
  11. They know that 90% of limitations on campus are invisible, and candidates with all disabilities are encourage to apply

  13. Previous Google Lime Scholars are unfortunately not able to be considered
  14. This grant is not open to current high school students.

History

Google began in January 1996 as a research project by Larry Page and Sergey Brin when they were both PhD students at Stanford University in California. The project initially involved an unofficial “third founder”, Scott Hassan, the original lead programmer who wrote much of the code for the original Google Search engine, but he left before Google was officially founded as a company; Hassan went on to pursue a career in robotics and founded the company Willow Garage in 2006.

While conventional search engines ranked results by counting how many times the search terms appeared on the page, they theorized about a better system that analyzed the relationships among websites. They called this algorithm PageRank; it determined a website’s relevance by the number of pages, and the importance of those pages that linked back to the original site. He told his ideas to Hassan, who began writing the code to implement Page’s ideas.

Page and Brin

Page and Brin originally nickname the new search engine “BackRub”, because the system check backlinks to estimate the importance of a site. Hassan as well as Alan Steremberg were city by them as being critical to the development of Google. Rajeev Motwani and Terry Winograd later co-author with the first paper about the project, describing PageRank and the initial prototype of the Google search engine, publish in 1998. Héctor García-Molina and Jeff Ullman were also cited as contributors to the project.

PageRank was influence by a similar page-ranking and site-scoring algorithm earlier use for RankDex, develope by Robin Li in 1996, with Larry Page’s PageRank patent including a citation to Li’s earlier RankDex patent; Li later went on to create the Chinese search engine Baidu.
