Since my freshman year of college, I have been interested in Software Engineering. However, it wasn’t until taking several Computer Science classes and reading your book The Innovator’s Solution: Creating and Sustaining Successful Growth that I truly understood what it means to be a Software Engineer. Since then, I have been working hard on developing my software skills while also completing courses on business. During my junior year, I participated in an intensive 12-week software engineering course where I worked closely with a group of peers to build a full-scale web application for class credit.

For my fall intern project, I have chosen to pursue an internship at ABC Consulting. This consulting firm has been helping businesses create solutions to a variety of issues and problems since 1970. As a software engineer intern, I would be working under you directly on many of your own projects as well as internal projects designed to improve operations and refine current processes. Although I do not have previous work experience with your company, I do know that I would be able to produce work that could contribute to my success in classes next year and in my professional career.
